A lot like maxi’s, shift dresses get me excited for spring. They’re breezy, casual, and are always made with a soft and thin material that heightens the sexy-vibe.

This one from Free People is particularly beautiful with the long sleeves and rose pattern. If it’s too cold to rock this look in the coming weeks, try pairing it with some warm tights or knee high boots! Are you ladies excited for spring yet?

Fashion Friday: Mens Street Style

For the sake of variety I wanted to cover a male related post that would offer inspiration towards street style and daily fashion. The theme here is that mixing and matching colours is vitally important in creating an outfit that’s not only visually pleasing, but has subtle contrasts.

Justin is wildly successful in his wardrobe choices because he gains his inspiration from his surroundings. Tan, blue and red with just the perfect amount of white. Nothing is too bold and you immediately think “fall” when you see him.

Also, who knew jogging pants could look so fashionable?

Throwback Thursday: Inspiration From Disneys Cinderella

When it comes to fairy tales, Cinderella proves to have some valuable insight towards the fashion world. The right shoe can literally change your life!

It’s fun to reminisce about a time in your life when fairy tales seemed real, and were much more than unimaginable fables that exaggerated peoples good nature. When I saw this dress, I was immediately taken back to my childhood, as it reminded me of a young princess in search for her Mr. Right.

The dress is from Forever 21 and is actually quite affordable (you can check it out by clicking on the link below) and Cinderella’s glass slipper, well, I think she got it right by going with Christian Louboutin.

Work It Wednesday: Add A Polished Look To Your Boots

IMG_8220

For a lot of ladies, putting on huge socks and cramming them into your boots has become the only way to add a little flair to your combination of boots/tights. I came across Kuhfs by Amy Olson the other day, and was blown away at how easy it is to apply the same effect without the hassle!

These little gems come in neutral tones that pair perfectly with your brown, grey and black boots. The design is classic and will give you that polished, put-together look. They even have a little 30 second tutorial on how to put them on:

A Day Of Beauty With Kaitlyn: Red Eye Shadow

image (24)

What do you guys think of Red or Rose coloured eye shadow? Lately, there have been a lot of makeup trends using reddish tones on the eyes. During summer, the rose gold colour seemed to be everywhere I looked. My Heartland makeup artist used it on me for a recent episode that just aired and once I saw it on, I kind of fell in love with the look.

Now that its winter, I have transitioned the rose gold we used in the summer to a darker tone and usually smoke it out with some darker shades around the crease. What do you guys think of the look? It’s definitely different but I think it’s pretty!! ☺

Model Monday: Denim Romper

Processed with VSCOcam with m6 preset

Denim is a fun spring time material because of how versatile it can be! This little OASAP denim romper is another perfect transition piece from winter to spring. On warmer days you can wear it like Deniz with some cute sandals and a fun Apt. 9 hobo bag. On colder days, throw on some warm socks, knee high boots and rock a cozy knit cardigan!

The options are endless really. Plus denim always looks good with bright accessories, so experiment and don’t hold back! Happy Monday :)

I loved the check-themed look because of the contrast, but also because of these gorgeous pumps! Relaxed femininity with a touch of playfulness, these See By Chloe pumps blend perfect with her outfit.

I’m really loving what I’ve seen so far from NYFW 2015 – people really brought their A-game off the runway. Have you guys been noticing any of the street style outfits? Leave me a comment below if you spot anything cool and worth mentioning!
