In an attempt to break away from bedazzled eyebrows, violet eyes and bold beauty trends, designer Marc Jacobs and makeup artist Francois Nars decided to keep thinks simple – by going with no make up at all. We could easily talk about the plush carpeting, the military style outfits, or the gigantic pink Barbie house that Marc Jacobs used to close New York Fashion Week. But there’s something truly inspiring behind the idea of raw beauty emerging amidst an array of colour, texture and glamour.
Sure, we’re used to seeing supermodels Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, and Adriana Lima dolled up in inconceivably beautiful outfits. Instead, Jacobs and Nars went back to one of their favourite looks, “bare skin, nothing on the lips or eyes, just beautiful skin.”
We love this rudimentary view of fashion and it’s a great message to end the week on,
“What you see is what you get.”
In an attempt to add a new dimension to New York Fashion Week and runway modelling, Ralph Lauren held an event on Monday in Central Park that was labelled, “4-D”. As golf carts ferried guests from the park entrance on West 72nd street, an array of flawless models lined the green foliage that surrounded the lake.
When the show started, a 60-foot wall of water rose from the lake, where holograms of Ralph Lauren’s 2015 Spring Collection began to appear as if they were walking down a dynamic runway.
Here are some of the highlights from the Ralph Lauren 2015 Spring/Summer Collection:
Fashion blogger Wendy from, Wendy’s Look Book, wore a beautiful seemed tank from Banana Republic, a plaid organza overlay skirt by Marissa Webb, and carried a rich leather Lauren Merkin clutch. Quite the elegant look!
Mary Orton from, The Classy Cubicle, showed up to NYFW 2014 wearing a Rebecca Minkoff leather vest, a Milly striped maxi dress, and carried an exotic Chloe calf hair handbag.
LA fashion blogger Margo from, Margo and Me, strutted through the streets of New York wearing a mint A-line skirt, a jacquard texture sleeveless top and pink skinny platform sandals, all from Top Shop!
Julie from, Sincerely Jules, pulled off a casual chic look on the second day of NYFW 2014. She’s wearing a Current/Elliott shirt with an oversized silhouette, J Brand ultra faded black denim jeans, and Sole Society mesh oxford flats!
Supermodel and TV star, Kendall Jenner, has already had some memorable fashion moments this year. She strutted down the Marc Jacobs runway in February and the Givenchy and Chanel runways in July. Well, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians TV star was at it again! Jenner took the New York Fashion Week stage on Sunday and Monday rocking the Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger 2015 Collections.
If this is what we can expect from Diane Von Furstenberg in 2015, then we are in for a sexy and sophisticated spring!
Jenner showed off her impeccable physique and star tattoos while walking the Tommy Hilfiger runway on Monday at NYFW 2014.
Another colourful and breezy spring outfit from Tommy Hilfiger’s 2015 Spring Collection.

London based fashion blogger, Louise Hay, was seen walking the streets of NYC wearing a Burberry London cotton-twill trench coat.
