Throwback Thursday: California Cool

Nothing says #TBT like throwing on your fav romper and chillin’ poolside. I loved this romper by Lover + Friends, who are a laid back brand inspired by the Los Angeles lifestyle. This outfit is perfect for the beach, so pairing it with some straw-inspired accessories will definitely complete the look.

Throwback Thursday: Menswear For Women

An amazing concept that is sometimes overlooked by chic, elegant and feminine fashion trends is the ability to transform and repurpose menswear.

The choices women have don’t need to be limited to tight-fitting fabric and flattering cuts. Instead, repurposing mens clothing, or even mens design can have the same, or even a more powerful effect.

A unisex jacket and boots mixed with some modern denim is perfect for giving off that tomboy look.

What do you think ladies? Ready to lace-up those boots and give the boys a run for their money?

Throwback Thursday: Cognac

Cognac is an important colour to incorporate into your wardrobe, especially since we’ll be transitioning into fall fashion! It’s versatile and can be paired with pretty much anything.

Since it can tend to be rather simple, pairing a cognac jacket with something a little more exotic (like these Anthro pants) will definitely liven up your outfit!

What do you guys think of this look? How would you style a cognac-inspired outfit?

Throwback Thursday: Extreme Flares

Taken from Zara’s AW15 collection, it’s evident they’ll being bringing back some crazy flares! Now unless you’re extremely tall (and are wearing 5″ heels) you’ll probably need to take these pants in a bit. The model in this picture is 5″9.

What do you guys think of this crazy trend? Do you think it’s something that’s here to stay?

Throwback Thursday: Flared Sleeved Dress

It’s never a bad idea to throw a little retro into your wardrobe! I stumbled across this dress and figured it was perfect for #TBT since it’s a chic dress with vintage appeal.

An unusual piece by Jessica Buurman that will definitely turn heads!

Throwback Thursday: Grey Vest

Mild weather on the east coast means it’s time to get a little creative! You don’t want to revert back to spring or jump ahead to fall staples, but at the same time it’s important to dress appropriately.

It doesn’t really feel like summer in Toronto, so I’ve found an outfit that will make do until the sun finally comes. ☀️

A vest and skinny jeans are perfect for mild weather, giving you protection from the chilly wind and an available option to take off layers if it gets warm. What do you guys think of this particular grey vest? It kind of reminds me of a Free People bohemian poncho.
