Cozy Street Style

The weather’s been changing quite quickly, which means I’ve needed to progressively add layers each and every time I go out. On relatively warmer days, you can get away with rocking this outfit without tights, but warm socks and knee-high boots are a must. Layering is one of my favourite things to do with outfits because its easy to experiment with different colours and tones. Choosing different variations of grey can make a profound statement, just as much as wearing an extreme pop of colour.

So have some fun! And if you want to learn more about any of these beautiful fall products, just click on the links below! 😘

A Day Of Beauty With Kaitlyn: Fall Ava Dress

Check out this beautiful dress I picked up from Cloakroom during summer. I wanted to write about it before the snow hits and this dress has to wait until next year to make another appearance. I fell in love with this dress as soon as I laid eyes on it. The colour, style, fabric and pattern were something I just couldn’t resist. This dress is definitely something you can wear in Summer AND Fall.

Here I paired it with some cute flip flops from ALDO but will be rocking this dress to my brothers rehearsal dinner this week with either some nude heels or some booties (depending on our weather of course.) I totally think this dress is a showstopper! Easy to dress up or down.

What do you guys think?

Fall Inspiration: Amazing Street Style

Street Style Outfit

Click on the image above to learn more about her gorgeous cardigan!

October is a very visual month. The weather is changing, which means the autumn leaves are falling and you get a plethora of green, yellow, red and orange! 🍂 It’s an exciting season for fashion because it’s warm enough to wear loafers, ripped jeans and even the odd tank on a sunny day. However, it’s still cool enough to layer up in a comfy cardi, knee high boots and a fabulous hat.

This particular outfit is perfect for a fall day. A giant cozy cardigan, denim jeans and knee high boots that match an extremely chic Valentino tote. To top it off? A floppy hat that adds just enough juxtaposition from her cardi to focus on her perfect hair. Bonus points if the rope on your hat matches your lipstick! 😘

Model Monday: Comfy Cardi’s + Cammo

It’s back to work today, which means we need something that can help you get things done! With the weather turning colder each and every day, it’s important to find items that can be layered. Cardigans are amazing. We could stop here since I’m sure most of you agree, but I’ll explain why. They’re styled, printed (can be), come in a variety of different fabrics and of course, they keep you warm.

This particular one from Marshall’s almost looks like a peacoat, which makes it stylish enough to wear to the office. To spice things up, pair it with some ripped denim, a neutral coloured bag and some awesome cammo loafers. And just like that, Boom – you conquered Monday.

Linda’s Ramblings: London Fashion Week

I came across this quote by Albert Camus that made me smile.

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”

Lovely, isn’t it?

It’s getting cool where I am. I can’t help but feel a dab bit of sadness when the cool weather kicks in (can you tell from my expression?) Of course I recover almost immediately once I remember how much I love fall fashion! :)

For me, London Fashion Week is always the signal for the fall. I don’t know about you guys but I have made my list of must haves and have been drooling over them since. I just love them! The one I’m wearing is the softest mohair sweater I’ve ever worn. It’s by Givenchy. Tell me what you guys think of my pieces. Hope you love. ❤️

DIY: Hudson’s Bay Sweater Wrap

Everyone’s seen this blanket around. It’s part of the HBC Signature collection and it was only a matter of time until someone figured out a way to make this gorgeous blanket wearable!

Well today’s your lucky day! Here’s a fantastic tutorial on how to turn this iconic blanket into a very wearable and very stylish sweater wrap.

What you’ll need:

  • HBC Signature Collection Multi Stripe Polar Fleece Throw (Click here)
  • A measuring tape
  • Scissors
  • A slim belt (Try this one)

Step 1: Measure to centre your cut and create a space for your neck. We recommend cutting 14 1/2″ in (found from draping). Decide how big to cut the neck hole by measuring your neck and adding an inch.

After every cut, Drape the blanket back onto the form (or sometimes on yourself) to make sure you are on the right track and things are laying properly.

Step 2: After draping again, You may find that the arms are too long. If you have to essentially “roll” the sleeves, which doesn’t really work with this kind of garment, cut off both edges. This means you will lose the navy blue stripe, but you still have three of the four original colours, so not to worry. 😘

Step 3: The last thing you need to do is cut two small holes for a belt to loop through. Use something slim looking and play around with colours. Pick something that you don’t usually wear, you’ll be surprised. Re-purpose win!

It’s as easy as that! A comfortable, stylish and completely unique sweater wrap that looks straight out of the Hudson’s Bay catalogue! What do you guys think? Leave us a comment below!

Model Monday: Fall Staples

Fall can be confusing. We’ve been getting highs of 25 and lows of 7 (celsius), which can make choosing and outfit for the day rather tricky. Layering is key to being comfortable when the weather is like this, so finding a few staples to build around is your best bet!

This coat from Boohoo really hit home because it’s basically a between-season outwear! You can layer it with a sweater, tee, or tank and add on a scarf, hat, or toque whenever it gets chilly.
