Why Dressing For Fall Is Exciting

Yes, the weather’s changing. Yes, it’s getting colder. Let’s all band together for our moment of silence and remember our glorious summer. 🙌

Alright, now that we’re refreshed and rejuvenated, let’s focus on doing the same to our wardrobes! Fall is exciting. Beautiful colours are everywhere, which means we can play with tones and create our own interpretations of Autumn. Cognac, dark red and pale greens can be found layered in our surroundings, which means we should be layering these gorgeous colours in our outfits!

This particular outfit focuses on red and cognac by juxtaposing them against simple white/grey backgrounds. A little colour can go a long way, which is why I love this look.

Work It Wednesday: Versatile Fall Hat

With changing seasons comes changing fashion trends! Free flowing boho style dresses are now refined as we transition into a more modern chic look for fall fashion.

Floppy hats were a major hit this summer and they’re here to stay as we get ready for fall. What I like about this particular one from Topshop is it’s versatility. It can transform and fit to the shape of your face. For those with more narrow and sharp features, go for the floppy look. For those with more shape, then go for a more straighter brim.

What do you guys think of these style of hats for fall? Are they a must-have for your wardrobe?

Model Monday: Topshop

Wandering through giant department stores like Topshop or H&M can be overwhelming at times. There are so many choices it’s hard to even know where to begin.

This entire outfit was picked up off the rack and is a perfect example of building off neutral shades to build something chic and bold. Some shaded black jeans and a matching tank is a perfect building block. Inexpensive, comfortable and versatile, you can pair them with anything.

A suede jacket and some frilled boots? Perfect.

What do you guys think? What do you look for when you’re bombing around big department stores?

Model Monday: Pretty Pastels

There’s nothing more exciting than the prospect of warm weather! As we transition from Spring, it becomes less about warm down jackets and knee high boots, and we gear more towards pastels, light denim and breathable outfits.

I love this pastel striped sweater from Meachy Lynn. It’s long, soft, cozy and suitable for whatever Spring has to offer! This model paired it with some Aeropostale ripped denim and a lovely pair of nude heels to complete the look.
